Google’s latest statement Following established procedure, we contacted the impacted developer upon receipt of the order and disabled access to the software that was still available on the Play Store in India.

In other words, the Indian government gave Apple and Google a direct order to take the BGMI out of the App and Play Stores.
If there was a bug, the game would have been back up after a few hours, therefore this appears to be more of a prohibition.

However, new users won’t be able to download games through the App Store or Play Store, so consumers will still be able to play games on their mobile devices.
You won’t be able to play BGMI on your cellphones if the claims are accurate and Kaftan removes their servers from India.
However, Kaftan made no mention of the fate of the user’s data or whether or not they will be allowed to transfer their account to PUBG New State.
We must now wait for Kaftan to make an official announcement.
