Oben Electric, a Bangalore-based startup, has unveiled its first electric vehicle, the Oben Rorr, in India. The electric bike is priced slightly under Rs 1 lakh after state subsidies and has a stated range of up to 200 kilometres on a single charge. The Oben Rorr will face competition from the Revolt RV 400, which is also available in the same price range.
There are three riding modes on the electric two-wheeler, as well as smart communication capabilities including Bluetooth and a fixed battery pack. The bike can be completely charged in around two hours using a 15A power outlet that will be provided free of charge at the owner’s home. The EV will be accessible in Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Surat, and Jaipur, among other Indian cities.
The EV’s battery and motor are covered by a three-year or 60,000-kilometer guarantee. Furthermore, the consumer has the option to extend the guarantee for an additional two years. Beginning in June 2022, the EV is scheduled to arrive at the buyer’s home.

A 3kW electric motor and a 3.24kWh Li-ion battery pack power the Revolt RV 400. On a single full charge, the EV can go up to 150 kilometres. The Revolt RV 400 has a peak speed of 85 kilometres per hour. It takes about 4.5 hours to completely charge the battery.
Oben Rorr, on the other hand, features a larger 10kW electric motor as well as a 4.4kWh lithium-ion battery pack. On a single charge, the business claims a range of up to 200 kilometres. Oben Rorr’s peak speed is 100 kilometres per hour. It takes about 2 hours to completely charge the battery.
